Mr. 13 Personality — The Beginning Before the Name

Before LZThir13 had a name, there was just a young artist with something to prove.

Created around 2012–2013 in Santiago, Dominican Republic, Mr. 13 Personality captures an early chapter in the story of LZ—a time when the artist was young, innocent, fearless, confident, and unapologetically himself.

There was no established artist brand yet. No carefully constructed persona. No blueprint.

Just a young man from Paterson, New Jersey, experimenting with sound, personality, rhythm, and identity while developing the ideas that would eventually become LZThir13.

Mr. 13 Personality is more than a collection of songs. It is an audio time capsule.

You can hear the rawness.
You can hear the confidence.
You can hear the ambition.
And yes—you can hear the arrogance of youth.

But that is exactly what makes this project worth revisiting.

This is LZ before the name LZThir13.

Before the albums, before the larger concepts, before the books, before the characters, before the business, before the evolution—there was Mr. 13 Personality.

For listeners discovering LZThir13 today, this project offers something that cannot be recreated: the original starting point.

For longtime supporters, it is a chance to go back and hear where the journey began.

And for collectors, it is an early artifact of the artist history—a piece of the story from a period that existed before the identity was fully formed.

Before the name.
Before the evolution.
Before the world knew who LZThir13 would become.

There was Mr. 13 Personality.
